~ 5th Birthday Party ~

Saturday 30th May

at The O2 Academy Glasgow (formerly the Carling Academy)

You've never seen a 5th birthday party like this one. The biggest show Glasgow has seen. A flashback over 5 years with 20 acts of Extraordinary Burlesque.

ALLOW A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO GET TO CLUB NOIR THIS SATURDAY

Eglinton Street which houses our venue is partially closed at the moment due to a fire at a building which is adjacent to The O2 Academy. However, for the O2 Academy and Club Noir it’s business as usual. The underground is open but it will take you slightly longer to get to the venue on foot. Buses are diverted and they will stop just past the venue and it will entail a short walk back. Taxis and cars can get to the side of the venue on Bedford Street via Laurieston Road.

Doors are 9:00pm and the first show is 10:45pm.

You'll not see a show like this for another 5 years. And you'll not see another Club Noir for 5 months till October.  Nowhere else are you so indulged. A 6 hour spectacular. Performing art. Live music. Visuals. Dress to thrill. Unrivalled people-watching.

And of course a huge burlesque and cabaret show:-
Presented by your debonaire Host Daddy Single. Club Noir wouldn't exist without this man's chutzpah. This was his all his brainwave. He is accompanied by his Daddy's Darlings.
Oliver Twisted is one half of the immensely popular duo Ballet Blue. As a birthday gift he has choreographed this premier act.

Josephine Baker - Afro Disiac Charlestons as the 'Black Venus' who thrilled and scandalized jazz age Paris.

Tina Beans - the grotesque burlesque homage to Dita's champagne act - the most famous burlesque act ever. Tina Warren has cultivated Club Noir from being just a glint in her eye to the superclub it is today.

Puppet Master - The Great Aldo is the evil controller; Bonnie Le Bombe his victim. Aldo joined our 4th night and has been with us ever since, with every show creating a madder character. He also edited this chilling music.

Loulabelle - chanteuse with a voice like sweet espresso, she has lots of projects on this year and is set to become a household name. But we're not letting her go yet.

Artist's Muse - Enclosed within a giant gold frame, Lacey Demure would have made the pre-Raphaelites weep for joy. As she did us when we first laid eyes on her doll-like face and eye-popping curves.

Dagger's Dungeon - Chelsea Dagger is the ravishing rubber-clad dominatrix who performs magic and mayhem on her clients. Chelsea performed with us for years before shooting to fame from the world-wide hit song named after her. The Great Aldo plays her client who falls for her charms.

Absinthe Fairy transports you to 1900 when Parisians were driven mad by the soon-to-be-banned liqueur, also known as the Green Fairy. Morgan Le Faye has enthralled us with her balletic grace and beauty from the first moment we saw her in 2005.

The Lily act is so beautiful it's been pictured in the press countless times and has adorned the cover of a burlesque book. Vanity Kills attended our first club at the Big Joint and it wasn't long before we snapped up this femme fatale for our stage.

French Legionnaires - Woody is Scotland's top close-up magician for 3 years running. He disciplines his solders with saucy sorcery.

Ernie, the fastest milkman in the west sang by old-timer Arthur Entwhistle and his 6 Arthurettes.

Champagne - One of our very first performers, Mr Mundane is making a comeback from burlesque retirement to grace our 5th Birthday party with a sparkling act.

Dinner for Two - Vanity Kills is the crystal-encrusted hostess with the mostess. Thom Ass is her guest. This is in no cook book.

Parasol - a pretty dance inspired by the Paris Lido. Danced by cherubic performer Dastardly D.

Daffodil - the first act Lacey Demure ever did for us, premiering at Secret Garden.

Medusa - Cerise is a successful model with the face and body of a Goddess. Her looks can kill.

Gimp - Is Morgan Le Faye scared subordinate or scarily in control? If you find this erotic then you're a degenerate pervert.

Beauty (is Pain) Parlour - Society Girl meets her Master. Replacing perms with perversion, facials for fetish. Polly Esther behaves like a bad girl should with Mr Mundane.

Kenya Warriors - From the Circus of Horrors. Three acrobats, fire performers and limbo dancers extraordinaire. Prepare for a standing ovation.
